Photos open fast

Released 2026-09-15

Tap a photo and it loads first, the grid stops going blank when you come back, and opening a photo pulls a few hundred kilobytes instead of several megabytes.

Add your team from the phone

Each project now has a Team screen on the phone, the same as the web: invite people by email, pick their role and what outside emails can see, change a role, or remove someone. Subs who can only add subs get a locked-down version.

How to use it: Open a project, tap Team.

The photo you tap loads first

On the phone, tapping a photo used to wait its turn behind every thumbnail still loading in the grid. Now the grid steps aside the moment you tap, the photo you asked for gets the whole connection, and the next and previous ones load quietly after it so swiping is instant. Swiping back to a photo you just looked at does not download it again.

How to use it: Nothing to do. Tap a photo.

Opening a photo is a fraction of the data

Every photo now has a screen-size copy made alongside its thumbnail. The viewer opens that copy, a few hundred kilobytes instead of several megabytes, so it comes up in a blink on cellular. Your original photo is untouched and still what downloads, prints, and goes on punch items. Older photos get their copy in the background over the coming days, newest first; until then they open the way they did before. On the phone the grid and the viewer both use it; on the web it is the viewer.

How to use it: Nothing to do.

The grid keeps its pictures when you come back

Reopening the app after most of a day used to blank the whole photo grid and reload it page by page while you waited. It now keeps showing what it had and refreshes one page. A tile that really can't load says so instead of sitting empty, and a photo that won't open gives you a Reload button instead of a spinner that never stops.

How to use it: Nothing to do.

Thumbnails never fetch the full photo

A tile whose thumbnail wasn't ready used to quietly download the full-size original to fill a thumbnail-sized square, which is what made some tiles far down the grid stay blank so long. It now shows Processing… and moves on.

How to use it: Nothing to do.

Faster pages on big jobs

Scrolling deep into a job with thousands of photos no longer recounts and rescans the whole job for every page. On the web, the photo you open now loads ahead of the grid and shows a soft preview while the full picture arrives.

How to use it: Nothing to do.
