Move photos between jobs, and photos always land in the right job

Released 2026-09-30

Select photos and move or copy them to another job, captions and markup included. The camera now always shows which job it is uploading to.

Move or copy photos to another job

Uploaded a batch into the wrong job, or need the same shots on two projects? Select the photos, tap Move / Copy, and pick the job. Copy gives the other job its own copy, with captions, tags, markup and comments. Move takes them off this job for good. Photos pinned to a punch item, placed in a report or daily report, paired as before/after, or set as the job cover will copy but won't move, and the app tells you which ones and why.

How to use it: Photos, select, Move / Copy, pick the job. On the web and in the app. Copy needs upload access on the other job. Move is for project managers and superintendents.

The camera always shows which job it's uploading to

If you shot photos at one site, left the app open, and then shot at the next site, the app could quietly keep the first job selected and file the second batch there. Now every batch starts fresh: the review screen lists all your jobs with the nearby one on top, says "Uploading to:" with the job's name above the button, and re-checks where you are when you come back to the app. A wrong default is one tap to fix.

How to use it: nothing to do. Glance at the "Uploading to" line before you tap.

Assign each punch item as you create it from photos

When you turn a batch of photos into punch items, each one now has its own "Assign to" field right on the row. "Add to punch item above" combines a photo with the one before it, and "Un-merge last" splits it back out if you tapped by mistake.

How to use it: Capture, take photos, New punch item, then fill in "Assign to" on each row.

Editing a punch item no longer reopens it

After Update, you land back on the punch list and stay there. Backing into the item shows your saved edits.

See every open punch item across your jobs

The "Open punch items" number on your dashboard now opens a page that breaks those items out by job: each job with its open and overdue counts, then the items under it with who's on them, priority, due date (red when it's past), and status. Switch between every job and just what's assigned to you, narrow to Open, In progress, or Ready for review, and sort by due date, priority, or last update. Tap an item to open it in its job. The number on the card and the number on the page are the same number.

How to use it: Dashboard, tap the Open punch items card (or My assignments, or Upcoming deadlines) on the web or in the app. Tap a job's name for its full punch list.

Flip an upside-down camera

A dome mounted upside down used to mean an upside-down picture until the installer came back. Now it's a checkbox on the camera. Tick it and the live view, the grid thumbnail, screenshots saved to Photos and new timelapse frames all come out right-side-up, on the web and in the app. The pan/tilt arrows are left alone; if those feel backwards too, the Swap left/right and Swap up/down switches are still there.

How to use it: Live Cameras, Edit camera, tick "Image is upside down (rotate 180°)", Save. The thumbnail refreshes on its own; timelapse frames taken before you ticked it stay as they were.

View any report as a PDF with one click

Export PDF built the file and downloaded it; Email PDF sent it. If you just wanted to look at the report, there was no button for that. Now there is. View PDF is the first button on every report: it opens the PDF in a new tab, built right then from whatever the report says right now, so what you see is always current. Nothing is saved to the job and nothing lands in your downloads. Export, Email and Share Link are still there when you want a copy or a link.

How to use it: Daily Reports, tap View PDF on any report (or inside it). Same button on walkthroughs, the report options sheet, the punch list Reports menu, the completion report, and timesheets. Reports with a lot of photos take a few seconds; the tab fills in when it's ready.

Uploads hold steady on cellular

On LTE the app could keep restarting a photo that was most of the way up, because the phone reports a cellular link as "dropped" for a moment whenever it goes idle. Uploads now only restart when you actually change networks, like walking into Wi-Fi, and never more than twice for one photo. "Reconnecting…" only shows while nothing is moving. The counter counts everything in the queue the moment you add more photos. Every upload now also carries a checksum, so a photo that didn't arrive byte-for-byte can never be marked as uploaded.

How to use it: nothing to do. Open Uploads and watch the bars only move forward.
