Pasted notes print cleanly
Released 2026-09-24
Text pasted from Notes or Messages sometimes carried an invisible placeholder that printed as "ÿü" on daily reports and punch lists. It no longer gets into your notes, and PDFs print what you wrote.
No more "ÿü" in your reports
When you paste notes from the Notes or Messages app on an iPhone, iOS sometimes leaves an invisible placeholder where a photo or attachment sat in the original. On the web it showed as a small box; on a daily report or punch list PDF it printed as "ÿü" — one super's observations read "ÿüplumbing:2". Those placeholders are now removed the moment your notes are saved, and every PDF prints only characters it can actually draw: feet-and-inch marks, arrows and fractions come out as plain equivalents (8' 6", ->, 3/8) instead of garbage.
How to use it: nothing to do. Reports you already saved print correctly too.
