Pinch to zoom, and uploads that follow you between cell and Wi-Fi
Released 2026-09-24
The camera zooms with a pinch (including the wide lens on iPhone), uploads pick up the moment your signal changes, and the counter says exactly how many are done.
Pinch to zoom in the camera
Pinch in the BuildPunch camera to zoom, the same way you do in the phone's own camera. The zoom you're actually at shows above the buttons while you pinch — 1.23x, 1.87x — and the 1x / 2x / 5x buttons still snap you straight there. On iPhones with a wide lens, pinch in past 1x and it steps over to the .5x lens so you can get the whole wall in frame; pinch back out and it steps back to 1x and keeps going.
How to use it: open the camera from any job, pinch with two fingers. Tap a button to snap to that level.
Uploads pick up as soon as your signal changes
Walking from the site onto the office Wi-Fi (or the other way) used to leave uploads stuck for close to a minute before they noticed. Now the app reacts the moment the phone switches networks: it stops waiting on the dead connection and sends on the new one. On Wi-Fi three photos go up at once; on cell, two.
How to use it: nothing to do. Keep shooting.
The upload counter tells the truth
"Uploading 33 of 33" while ten were still waiting is gone. The counter now shows how many have actually landed on the server, and the ones being retried say so.
How to use it: pull down the upload bar on the Photos tab to see the count.
