What's new
BuildPunch ships continuously. This page lists every release in plain language — what changed, when it landed, and what it means on a jobsite.
- Shared plan links, tidied up (2026-09-08) — The public plans page keeps its Download and View buttons on each sheet, in every sort order.
- Steer your PTZ camera, and uploads that start right away (2026-09-04) — Pan, tilt and zoom a jobsite camera from the live view, photos start uploading the moment you shoot on site, and click-to-zoom on the web.
- Stay signed in for 60 days (2026-09-03) — Sign in once and stay signed in for 60 days, and every form is readable in dark mode.
- The app keeps working in your pocket (2026-09-02) — Background mileage and time-clock recording, photo comments with @mentions, punch items from any photo, and a faster upload pipeline — all in the 1.7.0 app update.
- No more "Project 42" flash (2026-09-02) — The sidebar shows your project's real name instantly — no more numeric placeholder flashing while the page loads.
- Comment on photos, tag your crew, punch from any photo (2026-09-01) — Photo comments with @mentions that notify the person tagged, make a punch item straight from a gallery photo, a bigger annotate view, and background photo uploads.
- Pinch to zoom on live cameras (2026-08-31) — Pinch, drag, or double-tap to zoom the live camera view — and it automatically switches to the sharper HD stream as you zoom in.
- Daily report emails — right company, right name, right logo (2026-08-29) — Report emails now show who prepared the report, your company logo reliably, and a centered layout; new projects let you pick the company.
- Zoom in on report photos (2026-08-28) — Photos opened from a daily report link can now be zoomed and panned, just like in the app.
- Uploads recover from a dead connection on their own (2026-08-27) — If a photo upload stops making progress, the app now drops the stuck connection and retries within seconds.
- See every plan and what it includes (2026-08-27) — A Plans page in the app and on the web that shows what each plan brings and where it's set up.
- Cut time right on the worker's track (2026-08-27) — Drag across a shift's timeline to cut off-site time, with the GPS trail following along.
- Shared drawing links — sort, download, and an archive (2026-08-27) — Anyone with a plans link can sort the sheets, download any of them, and open an Archive of superseded sets at the bottom.
- Cut off-site time from a shift — by hand or from GPS (2026-08-27) — Trim any number of off-site stretches out of a worker's day, and let approved job-site areas propose those cuts for you.
- Daily-report reminders, faster photos, and the new website (2026-08-27) — Send each sub just their own dates, get nudged for the day's report at a time you pick, and watch photo lists come up the moment you open them.
- Timelapse + faster uploads (2026-08-25) — Your cameras now build a timelapse of the whole job, photos upload a lot faster, and daily reports got easier to write.
- Live Cameras (2026-08-23) — Your jobsite cameras now live inside BuildPunch — on the desktop and in your pocket.
- Share it without an account (2026-08-19) — Send plans and folders to anyone with a link, let subs comment by name, and see exactly who saw what.
