Daily reports

BuildPunch daily reports are the end-of-day field record: open the day, and the site weather is already filled in from the project's location; add crew by trade, notes, delays, equipment, and photos; export a branded PDF or send it to owners and architects who never need an account. It is for superintendents who currently retype the same report into email every evening. It replaces a dedicated daily-reporting app like Raken, with the difference that the punch items and photos it references are already in the same project.

Weather you do not type

BuildPunch pulls the day's conditions for the project's own coordinates from the National Weather Service and fills them in. No copying a forecast screenshot, no arguing later about whether it actually rained.

Crew by trade, not one lump number

Each crew line carries trade, company, headcount, and hours — so the report answers who was on site, not just how many.
Notes auto-bullet as you type, on the phone and on the web, so a tired super writes a list instead of a paragraph.
Delays and equipment are structured fields, which makes them searchable later instead of buried in prose.
Photos attach from the camera or the project gallery and can be dragged into the order you want them to read in the PDF.

The PDF goes out on its own

Reports export as a branded PDF carrying the project owner's logo and colors. Send it manually, or set a daily or weekly schedule with a recipient list and let it send itself.

External recipients — owners, architects, lenders — receive the PDF by email and do not need a BuildPunch account to read it.

How to create a construction daily report in BuildPunch

Produce a branded daily field report with automatic site weather, crew by trade, photos, and delays, then email it to the owner as a PDF.

1. Open the project's Daily Reports — In the project, open Daily Reports and start today's report. BuildPunch fills in the site weather automatically from the project's location.
2. Add the crew by trade — Add a crew line for each trade on site with the company, headcount, and hours worked.
3. Write the day's notes — Type the day's notes — the field auto-bullets as you go — and record any delays and equipment on site.
4. Attach and order photos — Attach photos from the in-app camera or the project gallery, then drag them into the order you want them to appear in the PDF.
5. Send the report — Export the branded PDF, or email it to your recipient list. Owners and architects receive it without needing a BuildPunch account. Set a daily or weekly schedule if you want it to send itself.
