Does BuildPunch work offline?
Yes. The iOS and Android apps cache project data on the device and queue punch updates and photos while you are out of signal, syncing when you reconnect. The web app installs as a Progressive Web App and queues offline changes through background sync; for full offline reading in a basement or an elevator shaft, use the mobile app.
Do subcontractors need to pay for BuildPunch?
No. Invited subcontractors can view a project for free, forever, and free viewers never count toward your seat limit. If a sub wants to do the work in the app on their own account, that's the $4.99/month Individual plan on their account, not a seat on your bill.
Is my data secure on BuildPunch?
All personally identifiable information is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, on all tiers including the free plan. BuildPunch also keeps an append-only audit log, and enforces a strict Content Security Policy, HSTS with preload, and role-based access controls.
